Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak joined other mayors, police chiefs and shooting victims in the nation's capitol Wednesday.
At the Mayors Against Illegal Guns news conference, Rybak said there's a slow motion Sandy Hook going on in every community in America - meaning gun violence that erupts daily on the streets.
He added that the center of the gun debate should not be Washington, but the streets of America.
