A 13-year-old boy is expected to survive a hit-and-run in St. Paul, even after he went to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say an officer found the boy lying in the street near University Avenue and Grotto Street around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Police said he had a head injury and believe a car hit him when he was walking across the street.
The boy was taken to Regions Hospital and is expected to recover, police say. He lives on the 700 block of Hiawatha Avenue.
Police are searching for a suspect. They say a mirror left at the scene belongs to a 1992 Buick Park Avenue.
