Ask and you shall receive.

After overwhelming requests from the community, the much anticipated Off-Leash Dog Park at Lyndale Farmstead Park opened Friday for a preview.

The park is far from completion, but the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board decided to open it on a temporary basis to accommodate pet owners who are looking for a place to let their dogs run free this winter.

The Off-Leash Park will close in spring to finish work. A grand opening is set for early summer.
