More than 100 adults and children will become U.S. citizens this week at the Mall of America in Bloomington.
The Friday and Saturday event, Government on Display Expo, will feature information about the role and services offered by federal and state agencies.
The public naturalization ceremony is scheduled to take place Saturday.
The annual expo is the largest government event to be staged at a U.S. mall, according to Minnesota's Federal Executive Board, the event's organizer.
This year's expo will feature more than 25 federal and state agencies, including the National Weather Service and the Minnesota Army National Guard. The Minneapolis Passport Agency will be accepting passport applications this year, too.
Veterans from the 451st Army Band will perform both days.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with the naturalization ceremony at 10 a.m. for children and 11 a.m. for adults Saturday.
The expo will be on the mall's first floor. Additional information can be found here.
