From Washington D.C. to the Minnesota state capitol, the gun control debate is sparking conversation nationwide.
In Minneapolis, Mayor RT Rybak talked about his effort to track down where the city buys its guns and ammunition. He says the goal is to only buy from companies who are working with Minneapolis officials to reduce gun violence.
"I don't believe the taxpayers of M
inneapolis would like their dollars to be sent to companies that are fighting with us on that," said Mayor Rybak.
This was one of the goals that came from a discussion in D.C. with other mayors and police.
