It's a brand new 96,000-square-foot facility, and doctors say its unlike any in the state.
It's the new Mother Baby Center, part of Abbott Northwestern and Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, in Minneapolis.
The facility was built in part because women are having babies later in life, there are more high-risk pregnancies, and pre-term births.
Doctors say this facility will be a one stop shop, meaning new moms can be right next to their babies at all times.
In the past, moms would deliver at neighboring Abbott Northwestern and if their child needed additional care they'd be ushered a quarter mile through a tunnel to Children's.
Not the case anymore, from large private rooms to state of the art equipment, massage and aromatherapy to fetal medicine experts who can diagnose and treat baby in-utero, doctors say the Mother Baby Center is not only a great place to have a baby, but also a great place to be a baby.
The $50 million facility will open next week.
