Community members can enjoy “Tiramisu for Two” while helping kids around the world who are suffering from heart disease.
From Feb. 2-15, all Lunds and Byerly’s grocery stores in the Twin Cities will be offering the Tiramisu for Two specialty dessert for $6.99. Up to $10,000 of the proceeds will benefit Children’s HeartLink, an international nonprofit that helps promote cardiac care for kids with congenital or acquired heart disease in underserved countries.
Customers can also meet local personalities at a Tiramisu Sampling event. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, Children’s HeartLink will be offering tiramisu samples at all Twin Cities Lunds and Byerly’s stores. Local celebrities will be at select stores from noon to 1 p.m. that day, and volunteers will be available to answer questions about the organization.
During the 2013 Heart to Heart Campaign, customers can also make donations of $3, $5, or $10 when they check out at the register.
Children’s HeartLink was founded in 1969 and partners with health care centers around the world, including hospitals in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia, Ukraine and Vietnam. For more information about the organization, click here.
