Beer and liquor stores in Minnesota are closed on Sundays…for now.
With the state looking for ways to bring in more money, polls show most people support Sunday sales. The debate is once again brewing at the Capitol.
Two Minnesota legislators introduced a bill Monday to lift the state’s longstanding ban on Sunday liquor sales. It would legalize offsite liquor sales on Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
In June, Minnesotans for Public Policy found 59 percent of Minnesotans are in favor of the option of buying liquor on Sundays.
