Three people were arrested after Roseville police officers executed a search warrant on the 3000 block of Arona Street around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, an anonymous resident talk to them in January about suspicious activity in his home. After getting this information, police say they were called to the neighborhood a few times on the morning of Friday, Jan. 11, after reports of shots fired.

Police say they tried to stop a car in connection to the shooting, but the driver allegedly took off, leading them on a chase.

Police eventually stopped the vehicle and say they found an unloaded semi-automatic pistol in a snow bank nearby. They say there was also an unloaded pistol magazine and spent shell casings in the back seat of the vehicle.

The officers arrested the 23-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger for reckless discharge of a firearm.

An investigation connected the two men with the renters living on the 3000 block of Arona Street, who police believed were involved in criminal activity.

Roseville Police and East Metro SWAT executed the search warrant Wednesday and arrested a 19-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 23-year-old St. Paul man who was a guest in the home.

Police say they found illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash. They also say they found a carcass of a miniature Doberman and a malnourished Doberman in the basement. The surviving dog is getting treatment at a local vet.

Charges have not yet been filed, and detectives are still interviewing the suspects.
