Hoarding is called a dirty secret because it happens behind closed doors.

Whether facing eviction, the loss of children, jail time, or divorce people who are unable to part with their belongings are desperately in need of help.

It's because of that the Minnesota Hoarding Task Force has been created.

It's a group of licensed and certified mental health professionals, code inspectors, and other professionals.

Goals are to address individual needs, reduce stigma, provide outreach opportunities, and increase community safety.
