Joe Paterno’s family said allegations that he helped hide child sex abuse accusations against former coach Jerry Sandusky are unfounded.
The family responded to Penn State’s report and said former FBI Director Louis Freeh’s conclusion wasn’t supported by facts.
Paterno’s family claimed Freeh didn’t interview key players, and Paterno never told others to hide allegations against Sandusky.
Paterno’s wife told her side of the story to an exclusive interview with Katie Couric for the first time since the sex abuse scandal.
In the interview, she spoke about her late husband, their relationship with the Sanduskys and the emotions she felt when she first heard about the allegations.
