A Minnetonka woman has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for sending a nude photo of herself to a 17-year-old student.

Jenna Schultz, 27, was sentenced Tuesday in Dakota County District Court following her guilty plea in November to a gross misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the county attorney's office.

Schultz is accused of sending the photo via text message to the student, who attended Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, where Scultz was a student teacher.

Two felony charges of stalking where dismissed in the plea.

District Judge Jerome Abrams also ordered Schultz to serve two years probation, pay restitution to the victim and complete a chemical dependency evaluation.

According to a criminal complaint, Schultz began to message the student on Facebook on May 11, sending the teen her cell phone number.

The two began to exchange texts and later that day, Schultz sent the teen a nude photo of herself.

Schultz later asked the student about sending a photo of himself and questioned him about whether he was in a relationship, according to the complaint.

The teen, who showed the photo to other students, reported the exchange to authorities, saying he'd cut off all contact with Schultz because she was "annoying" him.

According to the complaint, Schultz told authorities she did not recall text messaging the student or sending the photo and that she must have been really drunk.
