Two teenage boys may have saved the lives of a man and woman who were trapped in their car after a crash.
Police say 88-year-old Raymond Anthony Zenzen and 76-year-old Christine Zenzen of Melrose were driving westbound on County Road 13 in Getty Township Saturday, Feb. 16, when Raymond lost control of the car because of the ice.
The car went into a north ditch, rolled, and landed on its roof, trapping Raymond and Laura.
Two teenagers called the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and reported the crash around 2 p.m. Police say the boys helped by providing information that helped rescuers get to the scene.
The Zenzens were able to be removed from their car and sent to Centra Care Hospital in Sauk Centre. Police say they were both wearing their seatbelts at the time.
