Sidewalk sales may be coming to Minneapolis.
The city is considering changing the ordinance to allow business owners to display and sell items outside their stores.
Currently, only hardware stores can place seasonal items on sidewalks. City Council Member Elizabeth Glidden believes the change would help increase sales and better promote stores.
You may not see sidewalk sales in Minneapolis this summer. The city is working with disability, pedestrian, and bicycle committees on how to best implement the ordinance change.
