The number of flu deaths in Minnesota has gone up.
The Minnesota Department of Health released weekly case numbers Thursday.
Another seven people died last week, bringing the total flu deaths this season to 148. Twelve people died the week before.
The numbers support what health officials have been saying the last several weeks, that we have likely passed the peak of flu season in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, the University of Minnesota is no longer letting students stay home sick without a doctor's note.
At the start of the semester, when the flu was widespread, the university suspended its excused absence policy encouraging anyone who may be sick to stay home.
