The Minnesota Vikings cut ties with veteran wide receiver Michael Jenkins on Monday afternoon, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Vikings saved money with the roster move as Jenkins was in line to collect on a $2.4 million bonus in March.
Jenkins spent two full season with Minnesota and recorded 40 receptions for 449 yards and two touchdowns last season.
The Vikings now only have five receivers under contract on the roster after the release of Jenkins.
