Connor Hurley scored early and often leading the Edina Hornets to a 9-3 win over Lakeville North in a State Class AA Boys Hockey Quarterfinal.
The Notre Dame prospect opened the scoring 2:53 into the game, and polished off his hat trick with two more in a 27-second span of the second period.
Lakeville North's Nick Poehling also scored three goals, accounting for all the Panthers' scoring.
Dylan Malmquist added two goals for the Hornets as they blew what was a 2-1 lead after one period into a 7-2 lead thanks to a 5-goal second period.
