Keep Your Diet in Check During March Madness

You may be getting a group together over the next weeks to watch basketball, but that doesn’t mean your diet has to suffer.

Doctors recommend going with nachos over potato chips or pork rinds. When you’re thinking about the dip, the tomatoes from salsa are better than cheese dip.

There’s also an alternative for making your own wings.

"Take some chicken breast, cut it into strips and pour your own hot sauce on it,” Registered Dietitian Amy Jamieson-Petonic says. “Hot sauce is a great source of capsaicin, and what we see through research studies is that capsaicin, which gives the heat to the wings, actually increases your metabolism and helps you burn fat.”

Any kind of nut is also a good choice as long as it’s in moderation.
