A woman and her brother died Sunday in a St. Paul homicide of injuries caused by a sharp object, police reported Tuesday.

The cause of death for the woman's husband remained undetermined, according to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.

Police identified the couple as 27-year-old Pahnia Yang and her husband, 31-year-old Chue Lor. The other man is Yang's brother, 18-year-old Kong Meng Lee.

The incident happened in an apartment on the 500 block of North Victoria Street.

It appears a dispute between the three led to their deaths, according to police.

Four children, ages 3 to 9, were removed from the home. They are safe and staying with relatives, according to police.

One neighbor said the couple was the caretakers of the building. He defended his neighborhood, saying that the people living in the building take care of each other.

"Just this incident doesn't make this area at all," said neighbor Frank Reed. "That was just something tragic that happened; it could have happened anywhere."

No suspects are being sought at this time. Police say there is no threat to the community.
