With temperatures warming up Washington County closed its cross-country ski trails Thursday.
Parks Manager Mike Polehna has worked in Washington County for more than 30 years. He tells KSTP.com usually the trails close in Feb. and this is the longest season he can remember. He said, "All good things have to come to an end."
Polehna said it was a great ski season with new grooming equipment and illuminated trails.
Now, the parks department is looking forward to spring camping. The camping season begins April 26.
