The cousin of missing St. Paul woman Kira Trevino began search efforts again Saturday morning at Keller Lake in Maplewood.

Mike Teige, a second-cousin, is leading the search to look for Trevino's body. Although the ice is starting to thin Teige says nothing will keep him away from pursuing his hunch that Trevino will be found at Keller Regional Park.

On Friday, Kira Trevino's husband, Jeffrey Trevino, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to his wife's murder. The judge found probable cause to continue the case to trial.

A trial date has not yet been set.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators went through the Trevino house in St. Paul and found blood splattered in the master bedroom, kitchen, living room, hallway, bathroom and basement.

Investigators also discovered someone had tried to hide the blood splatters.

A large section of carpet was cut-out by the BCA and revealed a large stain in the shape of a human head and torso.

Although Kira Trevino's body has not been found the complaint says there is probable cause to conclude she's dead.

That conclusion is based on the amount of blood police found in her home and car, and the fact that it's uncharacteristic for Kira Trevino to go missing without contacting anyone.

Meanwhile, Teige is leading the search to look for her body.

Cadaver dogs have led crews to Keller Lake and crews have been searching the area for weeks. Crews have found several items in the area linked to Kira Trevino.

Teige says he knows his cousin's body is on the southern area of Keller Lake. He's digging holes in the ice about every four to five feet, so he can use an underwater camera to look underneath the ice.

In his search, Teige has found tracks in the woods and a hole dug-out of the ice. His uncle found a bag with a bloody pillow.

Saturday marks Teige's eighth time searching for his cousin. He said, "I just don't like to wait, I have no patience."

He wants all of the search efforts to stay at Keller Lake and says he won't leave until he finds her.
