The family of fallen Cold Spring Police Officer Tom Decker got to do something pretty special today.

His four children walked out onto Target Field and threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Twins’ Home Opener. The Twins opened their season at 3:10 p.m. Monday against the Detroit Tigers.

Decker was killed in the line of duty last November. He was known as a hometown boy and the department jokester, and Doug Neville with the Department of Public Safety says 3,200 people attended his funeral, with 2,300 from law enforcement.
