The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Trempealeau River at Dodge in western Wisconsin.
The weather service expects the river to crest Tuesday morning at 9 ½ feet. Flood stage at Dodge is 9 feet.
The La Crosse Tribune reports that melting snow and rain last week are contributing to the river's rise. It says the flooding is expected to be concentrated in rural and agricultural areas, and the river is expected to drop back below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
