A wanted felon was arrested after police say he was found hiding in a garbage can during a foot chase.

Columbia Heights officers were executing an arrest warrant on the 1300 block of Circle Terrace Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Monday. They say 32-year-old Edward King Jr. had a felony warrant and was believed to possess a weapon.

When officers arrived, King allegedly fled on foot, so officers from surrounding agencies and K-9s helped track him. Police say King was found inside a garbage can and was arrested.

Police say another man was arrested for a felony robbery warrant during the same incident.

One Columbia Heights officer was hurt during the pursuit and was treated at the hospital for a minor injury.
