One thing that's not making boaters happy this season, waiting so long to get their boats in the water!
Most are still on dry land at the St. Croix Marina in Hudson, Wisconsin and there's also still a lot of ice on the river. Boaters we talked with say they wish they could go back to last spring. So far the delay in boating season hasn't hurt the marina, but that could change if the boats aren't in the water by the end of the month.
We called around to marinas around the Twin Cities to check on their ice conditions. In the west metro, Wayzata Marina on Lake Minnetonka told they still have plenty of ice and will putting boats in the water late this season. One White Bear Lake marina told us they still have 3 feet of ice and don't expect to open to boats until late April.
