Volunteers began searching another weekend Saturday for Kira Trevino, a 30-year-old St. Paul woman who has been missing since late February.

This weekend, the group plans to search a larger area of the Twin Cities. The group started Saturday morning at Gervais Mill Park in Little Canada.

By Sunday, volunteers plan to stretch the search south to Lake Phalen in St. Paul.

The group is asking for extra volunteers to help with the expanded search. Trevino's father attended the search Saturday. He declined to give comments to the media.

Last month, police removed several items from Keller Regional Park in Maplewood, believed to be related to Trevino's disappearance. At Keller Lake, searchers found a plastic bag with a bloody pillow. Investigators said the blood was a match for Trevino's DNA profile.

Trevino has been missing since Feb. 24, and her husband, 39-year-old Jeffery Trevino, is charged in his wife’s death. Although Kira Trevino’s body has not been found, she’s presumed dead.

Authorities believe that based on the amount of blood police found in her home and car and the fact that it's uncharacteristic for her to go missing without contacting anyone.

The group plans to meet this weekend at the following locations:
