Minnesota lawmakers are weighing proposed legislation that would combine Target Center and the Xcel Energy Center under joint management.
The hope is to increase profits. But the worry is, it could be illegal.
Now, major entertainment events have a choice in Minnesota between the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul and the Target Center in Minneapolis. The choice allows for event promoters to shop for a deal.

Some lawmakers are supporting a bill that would figure out how to use Xcel and Target Center jointly. The plan could include joint marketing and scheduling.
