1 Injured in Suspected Drunken-Driving Crash in St. Cloud

A St. Cloud man, suspected of drunken driving, was arrested Friday night in St. Cloud following a vehicle crash that injured another driver.

Witnesses said that Christopher Michael Longtin, 24, ran a red light at about 10 p.m. while northbound on 25th Avenue at Eighth Street North, police reported. Longtin's SUV hit a car, causing his SUV to overturn near the intersection.

A 24-year-old man, who was driving the other vehicle, had his leg pinned in the car following the crash. Firefighters extricated the man from the vehicle.

Paramedics took the man to St. Cloud Hospital.

Longtin has been arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation, third-degree driving under the influence, felony possession of a controlled substance and a minor traffic violation.

Longtin is being held at the Stearns County Jail awaiting a court hearing.
