Electronic Pulltab Figures Still Fall Short

New numbers are out for electronic pulltabs and there is rising concern this may not be the best bet for the state to fund its portion of the new Vikings stadium.

According to the Minnesota Gambling Control Board, the average daily gross per machine in March was $90.20.  The state projected the average daily gross would be much higher: $225.00.

Monday morning Governor Mark Dayton said the problems are being exaggerated.

"I think this has been so blown out of proportion.  The annual payment is $20 to $30 million dollars a year.  We're not talking about significant money in terms of an entire state budget," he said.

However, the governor also said he is open to other ideas these last six weeks of the legislative session.
