Ordinance Will Prevent Mpls. from Declaring Snow Emergency

With significant snow, getting the roads cleared might be a challenge on the side streets of Minneapolis.

The city says a snow emergency cannot be declared after April 1 because of a city ordinance. That means side streets will not be plowed curb to curb and they won't be out towing any vehicles.

In St. Paul, there could be a snow emergency but it's not likely.

Both cities will depend on Mother Nature to do the melting.
