K-9s Compete at U's 2013 Dog Olympics

Furry, four-legged Olympic athletes competed Sunday in the 2013 Dog Olympics at the University of Minnesota.

The competition took place indoors at the Leatherdale Equine Center, 1801 W Dudley Ave. in Falcon Height.

The event was hosted by the U's College of Veterinary Medicine’s Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dogs participated in the event for $10, with proceeds going toward the St. Paul Police Department's K-9 Foundation.The event featured a course challenge, best trick competition, costume contest, high jump challenge, doggie relay race and more.
