More than a foot of snow fell west of the metro from another late-season storm. Meteorologist Patrick Hammer said 13 inches fell in Zimmerman , St. Cloud received 12.3 inches and Chaska saw nearly 12 inches by Friday morning.

Areas in the metro saw anywhere from 5 to 7 inches.

The National Weather Service says 22 inches of snow has fallen in the Lake County community of Two Harbors, with 20 inches at Lake Nichols in St. Louis County.

Duluth, Proctor and Cloquet are among the school districts canceling classes Friday.

Patrick said the metro will get a break Saturday during the day with more rain and snow moving in Saturday night into Sunday. "Temps will warm-up to 50 on Sunday, but there is no significant warm-up in sight," said Patrick.
