The world is showing its support for the victims of last week's Boston bombings.
'Boston Strong' runs are taking place all over the country Monday.
An informal memorial run took place place in Minneapolis Monday morning to benefit victims. The group 'Boston Strong Minneapolis' met at the Wilde Roast Cafe on Main Street.
Runners are going for any distance they want. Some are running three miles while others are going for eight. The participants want to show Boston that the running community supports them.
"To show some solidarity as a running community, show some solidarity with the people of Boston, run in honor of the people that we lost... the people who are hurt. Also to honor the emergency responders... the amazing courage that was displayed by the police, the FBI and the emergency personnel," said Senator Scott Dibble.
The 'Boston Strong Minneapolis' group isn't taking any collections. But, they say if anyone wants to donate to the families affected by the bombing, they can donate to One Fund Boston.
