The Minnesota Vikings have selected Penn State linebacker Gerald Hodges with the 120th overall selection in the fourth round.
Hodges is listed at 6-foot-1 and 243 pounds. He had 5½ sacks in his college career for the Nittany Lions. Hodges plays outside linebacker, and there has been talk of moving veteran Erin Henderson from outside linebacker to the middle.
The Vikings were eager to get back to the business of drafting after sitting out the second and third rounds on Friday. The Vikings did not have a selection in those rounds after trading those picks on Thursday night to New England to move up into the first round and take Tennessee receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
They also have picks in the fifth and sixth rounds and two more in the seventh.
