For the first time ever Jackie Chan’s action packed “Police Story” and “Police Story 2” have be released together on DVD and Blu-Ray.

I just received a review copy of Shout Factory’s “Police Story” and “Police Story 2” double feature pack on Blu-Ray and it is action packed.

I am also a fan of Jackie Chan and think that his movies are entertaining and full of action. In my opinion he is a great director, actor and stunt coordinator. Jackie Chan does all of his own stunts in his movies and has been injured numerous times. I also really like how he tries to add a little bit of humor in his films and I think that it works well mixed in with the action.

The movies were filmed in Hong Kong, so it was neat to see all of the different settings and to see all of the different spectacular areas of the city. Both films have also won major film awards in the Hong Kong.

I really think that it’s great that both movies are included together, because “Police Story 2” takes place right after “Police Story.” I think that a lot of people who buy this DVD or Blu-Ray set will really appreciate it.

The quality of the films looks pretty good. There a few spots where it’s a little grainy but it’s not distracting.

“Police Story” was released in 1985 and stars Jackie Chan, Brigette Lin, Maggie Cheung and Cho Yuen.

The Royal Hong Kong Police are about to bring down a crime lord and Jackie Chan is the police officer that must protect a key witness that will bring them organization down. The witness gets away from Chan so the crime lord gets away free. The drug lord wants revenge so he tries to frame Chan for murder. Chan now must find the key witness because she can tell the law that he is innocent.

“Police Story 2” was released in 1988 and stars Jackie Chan and Maggie Cheung.

The movie starts out right where “Police Story” ended and Chan has been demoted to a traffic cop. The mobsters are still angry with Chan and wants revenge so they kidnap is girlfriend and Chan must now try and rescue her along with trying to stop a group of terrorists from taking over Hong Kong.

I also really enjoyed the stories of both films. I thought they were entertaining and very well written. There are a ton of action sequences that you will not believe. There is also tons of amazing fight scenes that have to be seen to be believed in both films. Jackie Chan is like a superhero in these films. Just watching him move around and fight is just incredible.

One thing that I have to mention and I feel that it is very important is that the special features are awesome. On the back of the case it says that there are out-takes and theatrical trailers. However there are a bunch of extras that are not mentioned on the box and each movie contains a bunch of great extras that I know people will really enjoy. The special features that are included are:

“Police Story”

“Police Story 2”

I really enjoyed Shout Factory’s “Police Story/Police Story 2” Blu-Ray double feature a lot. Both movies were full of nonstop action and amazing stunts. The stories were entertaining and the extra features were a nice added bonus to the movies. I think that people who are fans of Jackie Chan or of action movies will really enjoy this double feature a lot.
