Bearded men are showing their support for the Wild’s playoff run Tuesday.
One man’s beard is older than all but three players on the team, but he’s willing to part with it for a Stanley Cup.
"I've trimmed it down about once a year, but today is the first time my cheeks have been exposed for a good long time,” Tim Meyer said.
Meyer was in good company for Tuesday’s Beard-a-Thon at the Xcel Center. Mayor Chris Coleman and former Wild Captain Wes Walz also got a clean shave, but they’re hoping to have plenty of time to grow it back.
They will now grow out their beards for as long as the Wild stay in the playoffs.
