Bloomington Public Schools is proposing major safety improvements at all their schools.
The district says the changes could better prepare, protect and help the schools respond to emergencies.
After a safety and security stud, the district made several recommendations including renovating all main entrances to limit school access.
The district would use state and federal grants along with a referendum asking taxpayers to pay for the rest of the five to seven million dollar plan .
Bloomington Public Schools will vote on the plan next month.
