The Minnesota gay marriage bill is one step closer to a vote.
A house committee has scheduled a hearing for the bill Monday. After that, the house could vote.
This comes as the Minnesota Management and Budget Offices released the fiscal impact.
The state could bring in $200,000 a year in marriage license payments if gay marriage is finalized.
But the state would also need to pay out $70,000 a year in benefits for partners of married state workers.
