A St. Louis Park company is pioneering a new treatment for a fairly common but currently incurable disease.
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition involving the breakdown of nerves, and can be caused by a variety of diseases, including diabetes.
It usually starts in the hands and feet, and can spread from there – tingling, pain, and the loss of feeling results.
Realief Neuropathy Center has started treating the condition using laser technology, and claims to have largely cured about 2,000 Minnesotans of the condition.
The laser is able to “awaken” the damaged nerves and restore their basic functions.
