Volunteers have created a group this week on Facebook that plans to organize community searches for two women who have been missing from the Twin Cities.
The women that the group Minnesota United will search for are 24-year-old Mandy Matula, of Eden Prairie and 28-year-old Danielle Jelinek of Oakdale.
The group initially planned to search for 30-year-old Kira Trevino, of St. Paul; however, police on Thursday said they found her body in the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
"Together, we can find our girls, and bring them home," according to the Facebook page Minnesota United. "These women need to be accounted for, and deserve us to continue searching until they are home."
The group also is partnering with Children of Tomorrow Learning Center in Chanhassen, which will offer daycare for children of those searching for Matula on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Teachers and babysitters interested in volunteering can call Melissa or Angel at 952-448-7829. Those interested in using childcare should call the center.
