It's the moment Minnesota Vikings fans have been waiting for; the Vikings have revealed the team's new stadium plans.

The presentation took place 7 p.m. Monday at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.

Many fans have been clamoring for a retractable roof for years.

The presentation revealed the stadium will not have a retractable roof. Instead it has a clear roof to let sunlight through. "We think clear is the new retractable," said an HKS spokesperson.

Although there is no retractable roof, there are retractable walls on the west side of the stadium. Fans inside the stadium who look outside of the retractable walls would see a view of downtown Minneapolis.

The stadium plans call for two of the biggest High Definition re-play screens in professional football stadiums. The monitors measure in at more than 50 feet high by more than 120 feet wide.

The planned stadium would be able to host baseball games, the NCAA Final Four tournament, hockey and World Cup soccer.

The budget for the project is $975 million.
