A Fundraiser For Paralyzed Lakeville Athletes

A fundraiser for paralyzed Lakeville Athletes Dillon Borowicz and Scott Proudfoot will be Saturday May 18th in Lakeville. Borowicz is a senior at Lakeville South high school and he was injured in a diving accident July 15.  He played football and lacrosse. 

Scott Proudfoot was an All-State swimmer at Lakeville high school (before the split) and in 2006 he helped lead the team to state champion relay titles. Lakeville won the state title and went undefeated. Proudfoot graduated from the University Of Iowa and in 2011 he also had a diving accident. Both Borowicz and Proudfoot are paralyzed from the chest down. The Run-2-Walk fundraiser will include several fun races: A 10K will be at 6:45 a.m., a 5K will be at 7 a.m. and a 1K will take place at 7:15 a.m.

The races will start and end at Ealthworks/Danceworks -- 17470 Glacier Way in Lakeville.
