The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is doing its part to help the victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

The office will be collecting donations on behalf of all the local law enforcement agencies in Anoka County. Proceeds will benefit employees of Oklahoma County, including deputies, who lost their homes to the storm.

The money will be put into a 501c3 fund established by Oklahoma County for employees.

Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart said in a statement that the initiative is a way to give back and support fellow deputies and county employees who are continuing to work despite their loss.

Donations can be dropped off at the Anoka Sheriff's Office, 13301 Hanson Blvd NW, Andover MN 55304, or at the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office Court Security office on the second floor of the Anoka County Courthouse. Checks can be made payable to “Oklahoma HOPE Team.”
