I just got the opportunity to interview Neil Druckmann who is the creative director for Naughty Dog’s latest release for Sony’s PlayStation 3 called “The Last Of Us.”

“The Last of Us” is one of the best games that I have ever played in my 30 years of playing video games.

The graphics are stunning and the story is very emotional and intense. You play as a character named Joel and you meet up with a girl named Ellie. Your mission is to try and survive a deadly outbreak of a virus that has taken over the world.

In all of the games that I have played, I have never seen a story like this one. The prologue is unbelievable and sets up the game perfectly.  I am still awestruck by it.

Stealth plays a big part in the game as you try to sneak around people that are infected with the virus. If they detect you, you must run for your life to try and get away from them. You can also throw things like bricks and bottles to distract them so you can make a clean getaway.

There are many different weapons that you can use in the game. Such as guns, knives, pipes and boards. They all can be upgraded. Along the way you will find items and work benches that you can use to make your weapons stronger and more powerful.

I would highly recommend getting “The Last of Us.” The graphics and story are amazing. The game is filled with puzzles, Easter eggs,  gore and is very challenging. The multiplayer mode is a lot of fun. I also really liked how you can upgrade weapons and that you must rely on your stealth to get through certain areas of the game.
“The Last of Us" is rated “M” for blood and gore, intense violence, sexual themes and strong language.
