Summer Harvest for Kids Phone Bank Wednesday

KSTP is hosting the second Summer Harvest for Kids phone bank Wednesday, June 26.

A $20 donation buys enough food to create a lunch box that will feed two kids lunch for two weeks. Plus, if a child donates $20, we will send them a backpack filled with fun things to eat and do.

During our midday broadcast on KSTP-TV, if you buy a child lunch, Subway will buy you lunch. One six-inch certificate for anyone who donates $20 - $49, one foot long certificate for anyone who donates $50 - $99, and one party platter for a donation of more than $100!

From 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., during our evening newscasts, we have a matching grant donation from By The Yard. They will match all of the phone bank donations (up to $5,000), so your money will double!

Volunteers will also be on hand during the 10 p.m. newscast taking your calls. The summer is moving fast, and if your family could use some help with summer meals, we have volunteers here to help you access a food program in your neighborhood.
