Minneapolis Parks and Recreation expects more than 3,000 trees were lost to the recent storms.

Recent storms toppled as many trees as the North Minneapolis tornado, according to Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jayne Mille, "On a scale of 1 to 10, probably an 8 and much more difficult for us to manage compared to the tornado."

While Miller believes the recent storms toppled the same number of trees, Parks and Recreation Forestry Supervisor Randy Windsperger says the the area of damage will make the current clean up worse, "It's not like the tornado, where you had it from point a to point B, this is from point A to point Z."

Minneapolis Parks and Recreation says a crew of 75 people is currently working on clearing the boulevard.
