A man is dead after apparently having a seizure at an Oakdale softball field Tuesday evening.

Oakdale Police were called to Walton Park around 7:21 p.m. on a report of a medical emergency. When they arrived they found a 32-year-old man unconscious and not breathing at the softball field. Emergency responders performed CPR on him and transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the incident report, the man was playing softball and ran into the dugout, where he had the seizure and fell over.

Capt. Jack Kettler with the Oakdale Police Department said it appears to be a purely medical situation and that it isn’t a suspicious death.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
