Two people killed after a crash in Wright County near Maple Lake Tuesday have been identified.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, four vehicles were involved in the crash around 10:10 a.m.

They say 71-year-old Delano Price and 80-year-old Lois Price were killed in the crash when their Grand Am, which was headed westbound on Highway 55, was rear-ended by a Dodge Dakota truck.

The Dodge Dakota was driven by 50-year-old Danny Brown of Annandale. His passenger was 48-year-old passenger Dawn Brown, of Annandale.

According to the State Patrol, the Grand Am was pushed by the truck into oncoming eastbound traffic as it was turning onto Dempsey Avenue.

The Prices’ car then collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla. That car was driven by 67-year-old Mary Gelo, of Maple Lake. She was seriously hurt.

The Brown's truck then crashed into a Lexus, driven by 43-year-old Tammy Peterson, of Maple Lake. Petterson suffered a non-life threatening injury.

Danny Brown was not hurt. His passenger, Dawn Brown, suffered a non-life-threatening injury.

Both directions of Highway 55 were closed near Maple Lake after the crash but have since reopened. The closure was at Dempsey Avenue Northeast, about 2.5 miles south of downtown Maple Lake.
