Authorities have located a level-three predatory offender who failed to check in with his supervising agent.

According to Minnesota Department of Corrections, 52-year-old Rommel Heinrich Fritz was located at a remote campsite near Fairfax in Nicollet County around 7:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Fritz surrendered without incident and is now in custody.

Fritz is on Intensive Supervised Release for first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving an underage girl, reported the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

Fritz was released June 11, 2012 from prison in Rush City.

A hearing will be held in the next 10 days to determine if Fritz will be allowed to remain in the community under Intensive Supervised Release, or if he will have to go back to prison.
