N. Mpls. Community Celebrates Life of Terrell Mayes

The North Minneapolis community is celebrating the life of Terrell Mayes Junior.

Terrell was 3 years old when he was fatally shot by a stray bullet that flew into his home in North Minneapolis. The shooting occurred in December of 2011.

The celebration to honor Terrell's life will take place Monday at 2644 Colfax Ave. N. from 5-8 p.m.

According to MAD DADS of Minneapolis, the event will include games for kids, food, music and a moment of silence for Terrell.

The person who killed Terrell is still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 651-452-7463.
